Chip Estimate Named Finalist for 2008 DesignVision Award
Recognizing the Contribution Company's Chip Planning Portal Has Made to Semiconductor Industry
CUPERTINO, Calif. - January 7, 2007 - Chip Estimate Corp. announced today that it has been selected as a finalist by the International Engineering Consortium (IEC) for a 2008 DesignVision award in the Semiconductors and ICs category. The company's ChipEstimate.com chip planning portal and its IP Concierge™ service have together been recognized for their contribution to the global semiconductor industry.
ChipEstimate.com provides comprehensive chip planning solutions to the electronics community. The portal contains an extensive online semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP) catalog of over 6,000 components from over 190 IP suppliers worldwide and the software and services required to accurately plan future semiconductor devices.
As part of the chip planning solutions offered at ChipEstimate.com, the InCyteTM chip estimation system can be downloaded to explore IP of interest in a full chip context and accurately estimate chip size, power, leakage and cost. Over 15,000 users have performed over 55,000 chip estimations using the system.
The recently launched IP Concierge service at ChipEstimate.com is a centralized way for users to connect with Chip Estimate's extensive ecosystem of leading IP suppliers with just one simple request. IP Concierge was developed to meet the needs of chip design teams seeking information about IP that can be customized or is currently under development. This is a free service to registered ChipEstimate.com users.
"The IEC is pleased to recognize ChipEstimate.com and IP Concierge from Chip Estimate Corp. as a 2008 DesignVision Finalist," commented IEC President John Janowiak. "It's design teams and companies like these that are committed to the successful technology advancement that drive all industries forward."
